Each line has its own mounting constraint, its own device coverage and its own reason to exist. Buying both from one factory means one packaging spec, one artwork set and one QC standard across a whole deployment.
Magnetic mount. Cut to the exact lid geometry of each MacBook size, 13" through 16". Magnets seat against the lid so the film snaps on and lifts off — no adhesive on the panel, no residue, nothing to damage the anti-reflective coating on the way out. Cut-outs are opened for the lid-sleep sensor and the camera on every MacBook panel, so the machine still sleeps when you close it and nothing ever sits in front of the lens.

Magnetic or full-adhesive. Magnetic for anything that comes off — note-taking, classroom pools, shared devices. Full-adhesive OCA bond for installations that never come off and need zero air gap.

The screen goes dark off-axis and stays clear straight on. The default choice for shared desks, travel and anything regulated.
Filters the high-energy violet-blue band while keeping colour usable — for long shifts, night work and education fleets.

Function gets the shortlist. Mounting closes the deal — because it determines whether a filter can come off a screen, and in a shared or regulated environment that's the whole point.
If a screen is shared, travelled with, or subject to a clean-desk policy, the filter has to lift off — and that rules out adhesive. If a screen sits in one place for three years and nobody should be able to walk off with the filter, permanent bond is the better engineering answer and gives you a cleaner optical path with no air gap.

Seats against the MacBook lid or the iPad's magnet array. Re-seats cleanly after removal, and no adhesive ever touches the display coating. MacBook panels are cut with openings for the sleep sensor and camera, so a privacy filter doesn't keep your laptop awake.
An OCA bond across the full panel. No air gap, so no double-image or internal reflection — and nothing to lift, lose or pocket.
These are not marketing variants of the same film — each one works on a different principle, and each carries a trade-off you should know about before you order.
Microscopic vertical louvres inside the film. Light travelling straight through reaches the user; light leaving at an angle hits a louvre wall and is absorbed. The screen reads normally head-on and goes dark from the side.
Trade-off: a privacy filter necessarily reduces perceived brightness off-axis — that's the mechanism working, not a defect. In a bright open office, budget for a slightly higher screen brightness setting.
A selective filter that targets the high-energy violet-blue band at the short end of the visible spectrum, rather than dimming the whole display. Specified for long shifts, night work and education deployments.
Trade-off: filtering the short-wavelength end shifts colour temperature slightly warm. Fine for office and classroom work; worth checking against colour-critical tasks before a studio rollout.
A vacuum-deposited multi-layer stack that cancels reflected light by interference instead of scattering it. You lose the reflection without losing the sharpness — which is exactly the difference between AR and a standard matte surface.
Trade-off: AR costs more per square metre than matte, and it treats reflections rather than fingerprints. If glare from a window is the complaint, AR; if fingerprints are the complaint, matte.
A fine-textured surface that gives a stylus real drag and the sound of pencil on paper. For iPad note-taking, annotation and illustration, it's the difference between writing on glass and writing on paper.
Trade-off: any texture that creates drag will also wear a stylus nib faster than bare glass, and slightly softens fine detail. For illustration fleets, plan nib replacement into the running cost.

Everything structural — line, function, mounting, size coverage — is published below. Optical values differ per SKU and per production lot, so we supply them as measured figures with your quote rather than printing a range that was never tested.

Most suppliers can print a box. The harder half is packing a 400-unit school rollout so it arrives sorted by device model and ready to hand out. We do both from the same line.
A factory set up for phone film cannot necessarily hold tolerance across a 16-inch lid — the material behaves differently at that size and so does the tooling. Ours was built for it.
Dies and cutting programmes are made in our own tool room. A new panel size or a new device doesn't wait on an outside toolmaker, and a revision doesn't either.

It comes down to whether the filter has to come off. Travel, shared devices, cleaning routines and anything you need to remove in front of a client suit magnetic — it lifts off and re-seats without touching the display. Fixed counters, kiosks and single-user machines suit a permanent OCA bond, which also gives the cleanest optics. Tell us the deployment and we'll specify it.
No. Every MacBook panel is cut with an opening at the sleep sensor and another at the camera, so closing the lid still puts the machine to sleep and the lens is never covered. The cut-outs are made on the tooling rather than trimmed by hand, so they land in the same place on every piece in the run.
Because they differ per SKU and per production lot, and a printed range is worthless to you in a tender. Every measured value — louvre density, viewing angle, filtering band, reflectance, hardness — comes with your quote as a datasheet. If you need one certified for a compliance document, we'll get it tested rather than estimated.

Yes, and it's often the more useful half. Bulk cartons sorted and labelled by screen size or device, unit-level asset tags or barcodes for fleet tracking, and fitting kits to your spec. An IT team can distribute straight from the carton.
